Like many Singaporeans, our founder experienced the disappointment of watching brand-new furniture warp, peel, and fall apart within just a few years.
It started with a dining table purchased for a new BTO flat—beautiful in the showroom, affordable on the receipt. Within three years, the veneer was peeling at the edges. By year five, the particle board had swelled from Singapore's humidity, leaving the table wobbly and embarrassing when guests visited.
The realization hit hard: We weren't just wasting money on replacements. We were wasting time shopping again, energy disposing of failed furniture, and missing out on the joy of truly owning pieces we loved.
But when we looked for alternatives, we found only two extremes:
- Cheap furniture that fails in 5 years (IKEA, budget retailers)
- Luxury brands charging at least $15,000 for a dining table (unjustifiable for most families)
Where was the middle ground? Quality materials, honest craftsmanship, designer aesthetics—at prices that made sense for real people building real homes?
That gap became our mission.
